Events That Make a Difference.
Throughout the year, HATS hosts and supports special events across Lincoln County — all with one goal in mind: helping animals in need. From seasonal efforts like the No Cold Pets Project, to community vaccine and microchip clinics, our events are designed to support pet owners, raise awareness, and make life better for local animals. Be sure to check back often — there’s always something meaningful happening!
The No Cold Pets Project is an annual effort by HATS to ensure pets in Lincoln County stay safe and warm through the winter months. Through pre-registration and community support, we distribute essential supplies—like insulated shelters, straw bedding, food, and more—to pet owners in need. Every winter, we work to keep animals out of harm’s way—and out of the shelter—by making sure they have shelter, sustenance, and warmth.
Held several times a year, our free clinics help keep Lincoln County pets healthy, protected, and easier to reunite with their families if they ever become lost. Vaccines prevent deadly but preventable diseases, while microchips greatly increase the chances of lost pets finding their way back home. These clinics are open to the public and aim to serve as many animals as possible, at no cost.
Community Outreach
Throughout the year, HATS takes part in a variety of community events — from volunteer drives and educational booths to doghouse builds, local festivals, and even the Christmas parade. These events help us raise awareness, recruit volunteers, and connect with animal lovers all across Lincoln County. Keep an eye on our calendar to see where we’ll be next!
